Don' t know where the most delicious bulalo/ cuisine are in Tagaytay?
My friends and I didn't know either haha! But luckily our driver told us to try this
restaurant that has been the most visited in Tagaytay.
We just wanted to taste a bulalo, but knowing that the restaurant is most visited, there must be something that makes people come back to this place every time they go to Tagaytay.
This is the Josephine Restaurant.
The interior and built of this restaurant made me think at the start that the
food prices here must be high, and that we might need to use our cards later.
"Napasubo yata kami sa mamahaling restaurant,
si manong kasi dito kami tinuro haha!"
The place is huge, i think it can accommodate more than a hundred customers.
But manong said that even though the place is huge, people do still wait for
their turn to be seated especially at peak hours and dates.
Good thing we went there at almost midnight.
We were among the last customers then.
The place is clean, neat, classy, yet comfy and inviting.
The restaurant usually offers buffet eat-all-you-can' s,
but since we arrived there near midnight, they've already
cleaned up the buffet part.
The menu book is cool too. With nice and appetizing pictures.
As I said earlier, I was worried about their menu prices upon entering the place.
But seeing the menu made me breathe again.
Their menu ranges from 150 - 500+ php. To think that their serving is for sharing,
I think the prices are reasonable enough.
And to think that people do return to them every time they go to Tagaytay,
I think their price will be reasonable for the taste of their food.
But tasting and seeing is believing.
Look at that huge bowl of bulalo in front of me!
I was excited to taste it the moment it arrived at our table.
We tasted it, and yes, it tasted delicious! :)
I remember my friends and I saying "Ang sarap!"
every time we sip and take a bite.
This bulalo is heaven!!! :)
The condiments. The left one is for the crispy pata.
My friends tried this kilawing isda. I didn' t try it though.
The crispy pata was huge. The crunchiness of the skin
and the tenderness/ juiciness of the meat was heaven.
We also tried the laing. Though the ginger is a little overpowering,
we enjoyed it too.
And we didn' t miss to try their desserts too.
From left counter clockwise: Blueberry Cheesecake, Berry Macapuno,
Cappuccino Cheesecake, and Tiramisu.
The three cakes are the usual, but the Berry Macapuno (upper right)
is something new to the palatte, composed of leche flan at the bottom,
topped with macapuno ice cream and blueberry syrup.
I thought of my family, I thought that they should also be delighted
to taste Josephine Restaurant' s cuisine,
so I ordered a take out of their crispy pata.
More posts to come, so stay tuned! :)
