Mushroom Burger and Sky Ranch

Part 2 of our Tagaytay Road Trip: To try a Mushroom Burger and try to see the tallest ferris wheel in the Philippines.

The mushroom burger store is just a minute drive from the Sky Ranch. When going  to Tagaytay, you must try 2 of their famous foods, the Mushroom Burger and the Bulalo. And we didn' t let our opportunity to try them be missed.

They grow their own mushrooms, and their mushrooms are of different types.

They incorporate their mushrooms in different food selections, from pastas, noodles, rice meals, burgers, and sandwiches.

Tourists and locals alike, never fail to stop by their store and eat their food.
Not just because it's famous, but because of the diverse selection,
great food and fair price.

They have 2 types of burgers and sandwiches. One is whose patty is one part beef and one part mushroom, and one is a pure mushroom sandwich.

Their combo' s comes with fries and drinks, which can also be up-sized.

My friends, while waiting for our take-outs.

They have a no-straw policy, and use environment friendly
materials for their food packaging.

And now for the verdict. This one is a regular mushroom burger.
Part beef and part mushroom.

This is an OK burger. The patty is not that thick and the burger tastes like
the normal burgers. Its only advantage from other burgers is that is a
healthier option because it is part-mushroom, less cholesterol but the
 same amount of protein.

After stopping by the Mushroomburger, we then went straight to the Sky Ranch.
The Sky Ranch is a new amusement park by SM Corp. in Tagaytay whose main attraction is their Ferris Wheel, which by far is the tallest in the Philippines.

They have an entrance fee of 50 php, and their rides are a few, but their
Viking Ride is enjoyable, because it is more thrilling than the
Viking Ride in Enchanted Kingdom.

Viking Ride - 50php

Their rides costs at a range of 50 - 150php,
the one with  150php price is the Ferris Wheel.

They don' t allow foods and drinks to be carried inside the premises,
but I got away with my Mushroom Sandwich.

The sandwich looks yummy, and yes it is yummy, especially when you got one with more Shitake mushrooms. But if you got one with more of the white mushroom, i bet it won' t taste much juicy.

The typical amusement park rides:

the carousel

the roller coaster

the kiddie rides

And yes we bought tickets for the Ferris Wheel.
We were so excited while waiting for our turn  and finally having our turn to ride.

The cart by the way is air-conditioned and with fiber glass windows.
So if you' re riding it at night, you won' t enjoy it that much.
Especially then what you see from the top are just lights from the establishments surrounding the Sky Ranch and the pitch black sky and Taal Lake.

You can' t  take a good picture either, because it's night time, and you won' t
be able to use your camera flash because the fiber glass window
will just reflect the light back.

We enjoyed our company instead, and that is the consolation prize for our 150php.
I suggest you to try the Ferris Wheel in day time, maybe you would enjoy
it more at that time.

More posts to come, so stay tuned! :)
