Casa Verde - Cebu

One of the must-tries in Cebu is Casa Verde steaks and burgers.

Originated at Cebu, Casa Verde is an American style casual dining restaurant that has expanded and planted branches in Cebu and Metro Manila.
For locations, click here.

They've been known for serving the best and affordable ribs in Cebu. Their menu is composed of a variety of specialties that food lovers would enjoy. They're steaks are affordable too.

Their ribs and steaks ranges from 200-400 php per meal. An order of their brian' s ribs can be shared by two.

The place was packed with people when we ate. Mostly Filipino foodies, koreans and other foreigners.

The Menu.

The gang.

 Here comes the food.
I ordered David Dean's Tenderloin, the meat was so juicy, savory and tender.
I finished it fast, but didn't got full, because the serving size was not enough.

Roasted Seasoned Chicken

Bacon Mushroom Cheese Burger

We ordered The Big Bang Burger. And it was shared by three of my friends.
The fries were not enough for three though.

This is Brian's Ribs. It's quite big.
The marinade is sweet. 2 of my friends shared with a serving, they just ordered extra rice.

Be careful with the parts though. Most of the ribs we ordered had many glue stick-like tendons, which made the eating difficult, because they had to remove them first. And the meat got less because the slab contained more tendons than meat.

We enjoyed this food experience. We'll definitely come back to try these again.

Erra's Ramen

We've been curious about the posts in facebook about this little hole in the wall in Malate.

Erra's Ramen serves authentic Japanese ramen at a very affordable price. The price ranges from 50-90php. A truly reasonable price, which students and locals can all afford.  Very far from the restaurant prices which ranges from 300-700php.

Erra's Ramen is located at Adriatico Street in Malate, i'ts just a few blocks away from Robinson's Manila. Finding the place was a bit of a challenge. But we both enjoyed the journey towards finding it. And when we found it, we were both so happy.

We went there at night time so we can enjoy the cool sea breeze while eating a hot bowl of ramen. Yes, the street where Erra's Ramen resides is a few blocks away from the sea side/ bay walk.

This establishment is the landmark if you're looking for Erra's Ramen.
I think its a KTV.

We chose the spot near the street, so we can watch people walking and cars passing by, while eating our ramen.

This is the main set-up for the ramen cooking. See the prices from the cardboard attached on the glass cabinet.
We ordered the Tantamen (80php) and Miso Ramen (70php).

You can also add 10php for every additional boiled egg or pieces of soft juicy pork.

They added tables and chairs with videoke for those who want to drink while eating ramen.
The table set-up is cozy and laid back.

They also added siomai to their menu. It just costs 25php per serving.
We ordered one set to try. The sauce is yum, but the siomai itself was just an-ok.

Here comes the miso ramen, we both liked its taste, it has the sake(japanese rice wine)-like kick in the soup.

The tantanmen ramen is full of flavors. The soup has a rich taste and I just ate the whole bowl quickly because its so delicious.

There are others like us who went there for the first time. They're just as curious and excited as we are.

And of course, there are those regular customers. Who just didn't got tired of eating Erra's delicious ramen.

The place was teeming with people when we left. I wanted to eat another bowl of ramen, but I'm already full, so we just have to wait another time to come back and eat.
