Nude

Hi! Finally did another outfit post :)

This time I'm a little nude, not using a bright colored lipstick this time. I'm using a nude colored lipstick (Revlon Champagne on Ice) and exposing my back a little bit. Don' t worry, my outfit posts won't go further than me showing my back.

Shop and Dine at Liliw

Shoes!! Who would not go crazy over these great number of shoes.
And where can you find the most affordable, durable and trendy shoes?
Where else, but in Liliw, Laguna.

Shop at a number of stores offering different styles of shoes.
Feast your eyes and indulge in your guilty pleasures.

After shopping, you will definitely get tired and hungry.
Liliw also offers you a gastronomic indulgence.
This is at Arabela Restaurant.
Just locate the landmarks below, and you will surely find this small but  interesting place.

But why did we end up eating burgers?!

The restaurant was not yet opened when we arrived there,
they usually open at 11am.
And at peak days, you would have to make a reservation first, so you can have your chance to eat there.

In fairness, masarap burger ni kuya haha!

At last! It opened!
Aside from the shoes, Arabela also serves as Liliw' s tourist destination, so it's always jampacked.
Good thing we waited for the opening, so it was rest assured that we had seats there.

The place was small and low. The restaurant was originally the first floor of the house. The ceiling has always been low, according to the house's architecture, because the house was built on the Spanish Era, Spaniards back then are not that tall.

The desserts were already displayed when we got in.
Ready for take-outs.

And while my family were ordering their food. I went around to take a look.

It was Christmas then, so the place was richly decorated with ornaments and Christmas stuffs.

But the place itself was richly ornamented with cool things, a combination of vintage and artful decorations.

The pasta's were also prepared, ready for a bunch of pasta-loving-people.

And our orders:

For appetizers we ordered these herb-ed chicken fingers and mojo's.
The mojo's are made from real potatoes, and are cooked perfectly.
The chicken fingers tastes more real than the chicken fingers of fast food chains.

Christmas.... :)

My niece enjoyed playing with the Christmas decorations. We always kept an eye on that stuffed toy jar, because we know we have to pay for that if it got broken.

This pumpkin soup's taste and texture was real, and was just like the pumpkin soup I used to make (took me 3 hours to cook that).

Hands down for this pumpkin soup! :)

My sister enjoyed using the peppermill.

This is a mocha something drink that we just tried, it is a hot drink, and the taste was ok, I'm not a fan of hot drinks, I wish my sister ordered a cold one instead.

And now for the main course.
The main course price ranges from < 200php to < 400php

Baby Back Ribs.
One of their specialties and best sellers.
The sauce tastes good, and the ribs are just like Racks'.

Seafood Marinara.
Now that's what a real seafood marinara looks and tastes like.
Not just a pasta with red sauce and bits of small shrimps and squids,
bitter sa mga fastood haha!

Seafood and veggies - this was cooked Chopsuey style.
Perfect for people who doesn't want to eat cholesterol rich foods.

I always order the most different one, or the one that seems difficult to cook on the menu. This is called Involtini of Beef.

This is served with rice with parsley, baked herb-ed potatoes, and greens with Parmesan cheese and vinaigrette. These three all tasted good. The salad's vinaigrette has the right acidity and sweetness.

Involtini is an Italian word for a small bite of food consisting of some sort of outer layer wrapped around a filling. Involtini can be made with a wrapper of meat, poultry, seafood or vegetables, with fillings like cheese, vegetables, cured meats and nuts.  - from culinaryarts.about.com

I think it is a refined version of morcon, just used thin strips of beef loin.
Anyhow, this tastes great. Great enough for its price of 195php

You can also order bottles or glasses of wine to pair up with your food.
This wine greatly compliments the tomato sauce of Involtini of Beef that I just ate.

The desserts were not just cakes sliced then placed in plates.
Here, they put designs on plates using strawberry syrups, fruits, herbs, confectioner sugar, cream and chocolate syrups.

A little extra for a price that is the same or less than the price of Restaurants in Manila. (80 - 120php price range)

The taste greatly compliments the designs, baked and served with love.

My stomach got full and so as my heart filled with happiness

Jamie Oliver always mentions the importance of eating food cooked with integrity. And the food we ate at Arabela are food cooked with integrity.
Food that not only fills the stomach, but gives joy to the heart.
